RICHMOND BUSINESS OWNER REACHES PLEA DEAL IN CHILD PORN CASE

(Indianapolis, IN)–A scheduled hearing for Friday has been canceled in the case of a child pornographer.  Larry Bright lived just southeast of Richmond on the state line.  Bright has entered into a federal plea agreement that will have him
plead guilty to distributing child pornography. In exchange for the guilty plea, Bright will be sentenced to between
five and 20 years in federal prison.  Bright had 13,000 child porn images on his cell phone, arranged to do a nude photo shoot with a 13-year-old girl, and created an online alias to solicit nude photos from his own biological daughter.  He was arrested last fall at Tri State Bid in Richmond.  Bright was investigated ten years ago on the local level for similar crimes.  But federal documents indicate that Bright was able to erase evidence from his computer and was never charged.  A sentencing date is pending.
