(New Paris, OH)–Law enforcement agencies took part in school shooting drills at National Trail High School Wednesday. J. Paul Vance from the Connecticut State Police was on hand to share his experience with the Sandy Hook shooting. “Our goal in law enforcement is to take a tragedy, learn from it, and do better,” Vance said. Wayne and Preble Counties collaborated to improve radio communications across state lines. “When we do get an incident like this and we do get this many units together, we’ve got to be able to patch everybody’s radio so we can all be on the same page and hear what’s going on,” said Preble County Captain Dean Miller.
